FAQs
Here are answers to questions we are often asked.

Is there a cost to membership?
No.
We are a completely volunteer organization. At this time, there are no dues or membership fees. All of our events to date have been free of charge to participants, except for the cost of your own meals/refreshments.
Is this a networking or referral group?
Technically, no.
We have all participated in networking and referral groups of various kinds, and we did NOT want to replicate those experiences with XYZ. However, we are very big on creating relationships and building community, so if you participate, business and personal relationships will grow organically and authentically.
Is this a political or partisan group?
No.
Because we are concerned with the future of Sedona, our intention is to use our collective voice to impact policy changes/improvements in our community and region. Naturally, that involves being engaged civically and being part of the political process. We are not a PAC or other political entity, however, and we are nonpartisan. Our membership includes people with a range of political views, and we promote an active (and positive, solutions-oriented) discourse on issues of importance in Sedona.
Can I join if I am not an entrepreneur or business owner or if I am not technically a member of Generations X, Y or Z?
Absolutely.
You are welcome to participate if you are an employee of a company or other organization and do not own your own business. You are also welcome to participate if you are not technically a member of Generations X, Y or Z. Our only requirements are that you are energetic, collaborative, positive and solutions-oriented. (i.e. no negativity, please.)
What exactly do I have to DO to be a member of Sedona XYZ?
In short, SHOW UP.
In order to build community, we have to start by building relationships - with each other, with civic leaders, with the non profit community and others. So, come to our meetings and get-togethers. Volunteer to plan events or to show up at city council meetings or to contribute in another way that is consistent with your talents, skill sets and the issues about which you are most passionate. And if you find Sedona XYZ to be fun, positive and productive, invite friends and colleagues that are members of generations X, Y and Z and interested in co-creating the Sedona of 2040 and beyond.
